Israeli Strikes Across Gaza Kill 10 People

Gaza Strip, July 18, 2025, At least 10 Palestinians were killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes across Gaza since dawn on Friday, according to medical officials.
Among the dead, five were killed in a strike targeting a displaced persons camp in southern Gaza. The Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the attack also left at least 10 others injured.
The strikes come amid widespread destruction across northern Gaza, as witnessed from the Israeli side of the border, where explosions continue to send debris and smoke into the sky.
In Israel, a growing mental health crisis among returning soldiers has sparked public concern. Tzachi Atedagi, an advocate for soldier welfare, revealed that 10 Israeli soldiers have died by suicide in the past two weeks alone.
Speaking on Kan Network B, Atedagi criticized the bureaucratic delays in providing psychological support, warning that many veterans “don’t have 24 hours to wait.” He described the situation as the worst suicide rate among Israeli soldiers in over a decade, with figures climbing since the Gaza war began on October 7, 2023.
Netanyahu Admits Shell Hit Gaza’s Catholic Church
In a separate development, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged that an Israeli military shell had struck Gaza’s Holy Family Church, the region’s only Catholic place of worship.
Calling the incident a result of a “stray round,” Netanyahu expressed regret over civilian casualties and affirmed Israel’s commitment to protecting innocent lives and religious sites.
