Punjab Government Launches Online Portal for Easy Property Registry Downloads

In a major step toward digital governance and land transparency, the Punjab government has officially launched an online service allowing citizens to download property registries directly through the Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement (PULSE) project. This initiative marks a significant advancement in land record digitization and aims to modernize property registration across the province.

Property Records Now Just a Click Away

Residents across Punjab can now access their property registry documents online by visiting the official PULSE portal. The user-friendly platform enables individuals to retrieve official records by selecting “RoD Archives/Records” and entering key details such as:

  • City
  • Tehsil
  • CNIC number
  • Buyer’s name
  • Registry number

Once entered, the system verifies and presents the official documentation under the section “Record ki Tafseelat,” which can be viewed or downloaded.

What Is the PULSE Project?

The Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement (PULSE) project introduces a Unified Land Information System aimed at consolidating urban land data for easier access and improved transparency. A cornerstone of this initiative is GIS-based parcel mapping, which precisely connects land ownership details with digital maps, reducing land disputes and inaccuracies.

Massive Digitization Effort

As part of the project’s rollout, the Punjab government has already digitized over 151 million pages of registered property deeds. Moreover, the system has been integrated with local housing authorities and has successfully mapped:

  • Over 836 housing societies
  • More than 874,000 land parcels

This comprehensive mapping and record-keeping effort makes property verification and transactions significantly more efficient for both officials and the public.

PERA Inaugurated to Tackle Land Encroachments and Hoarding

In a related move, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) on July 14 at the Lahore Expo Centre. The new authority will begin operations in Lahore Division next week, with province-wide expansion planned by December.

PERA is tasked with tackling critical issues such as:

  • Artificial inflation
  • Hoarding
  • Profiteering
  • Illegal land encroachments

Officials say the move is intended to strengthen enforcement, ensure regulatory compliance, and restore public confidence in government processes.
